Construction Notice: Cheadle

Update – October 8, 2025:
Construction work is scheduled to be completed by October 31, 2025. Wheatland County thanks residents and motorists for their patience and cooperation during this project.

Wheatland County, in partnership with GME Excavation, is beginning construction work in Cheadle as part of utility upgrades, road resurfacing, and infrastructure improvements.

Location of Work:

  • Cheadle Hall parking lot
  • Back lanes bordered by Styl Street, Main Street, and Valor Street

Timeline:

  • Start Date: September 29, 2025
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. (weekends as required)

What to Expect:

  • Increased noise and activity during work hours
  • Temporary traffic disruptions and detours
  • Restricted access to Cheadle Hall parking lot and surrounding back lanes
  • Limited parking in designated areas
  • On-site signage and traffic control for navigation

Access & Business Operations:
Every effort will be made to minimize disruption and maintain access to homes, driveways, and businesses. Residents or businesses requiring special accommodations are encouraged to contact the contractor in advance.
