Drilling has commenced for the Goldfinch Raw Water Line north of the Speargrass Water Treatment Plant along Speargrass Blvd, progressing north. The contractor is expected to reach Highway 24 by the weekend and will be drilling west the week of March 10th.

On June 27, 2024, the RCMP marked 100 years of service to Wheatland County and surrounding communities — a legacy that began with the Royal North West Mounted Police.
To commemorate this significant milestone, the Strathmore RCMP detachment has minted a centennial celebration coin, capturing the rich history of policing in our region over the past century.
During today’s Council meeting, the Strathmore RCMP, represented by S/Sgt. Mark Wielgosz presented the commemorative coin to Reeve, Amber Link and Wheatland County Council — a gesture symbolizing the long-standing partnership between our organizations and our shared dedication to community safety and well-being.
This coin serves as a tribute to the unwavering commitment of the RCMP in protecting and serving Wheatland County residents. We are grateful for their continued dedication to our communities.
