Rosebud Flood Study Underway

Wheatland County residents are advised that the Government of Alberta has launched the Rosebud Flood Study for the Rosebud River. The study will assess flood hazards along 7 km of the river within Wheatland County, in and around the Hamlet of Rosebud. The study conducted through the province began in spring 2026 with technical work expected to be complete by spring 2027. 

Residents can follow project updates through Alberta’s Flood Hazard Identification Program website at www.floodhazard.alberta.ca or www.alberta.ca/flood-hazard-identification-program.

The province has also advised that municipal review and public engagement will be part of the study finalization process.

RFP Opportunity: DDSWMA Landfill Operation Services Contract

The Drumheller & District Solid Waste Management Association (DDSWMA) is pleased to announce that the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Landfill Operation Services Contract has been released on the Alberta Purchasing Connection (APC).

Opportunity Overview
This RFP invites qualified proponents to submit non-binding proposals for landfill operation services at the Drumheller and District Regional Landfill. The selected proponent will enter into a contract agreement with DDSWMA to support efficient and effective landfill operations.
