Pathway Construction in Gleichen – Starting Week of July 21, 2025

Construction of a new paved pathway on the north end of Gleichen will begin the week of July 21, 2025, as part of Wheatland County’s Multi-Use Pathway Program.

  • Road access will be maintained
  • Minimal traffic impacts
  • Completion expected mid-August (weather permitting)

Please follow all posted signage and barriers while crews are on site.

Severn Creek Dam Reservoir will be closed to vehicular traffic on January 31, 2025, allowing walk-ins only. Location: NW-12-26-22-W4  Address: 220061 Township Rd 262, Wheatland County.

The area is for day use only, overnight camping is not permitted.
