Join us during Septic Awareness Week to improve your “Septic Sense” and learn more about the proper operation and maintenance of onsite wastewater systems.

Traffic Advisory: Tour Alberta for Cancer – July 19–20, 2025

Please be advised that cyclists participating in the 2025 Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer will be travelling through portions of Wheatland County on Saturday, July 19 and Sunday, July 20.

This annual ride raises funds for the Alberta Cancer Foundation and involves hundreds of cyclists riding up to 160 km per day.

Traffic Impacts

  • Saturday, July 19 – Road impacts from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM north of Highway 1, with a lunch stop in Rockyford.
  • Sunday, July 20 – Road impacts from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM south of Highway 1, with a lunch stop in Namaka.

All intersections will be supervised by professional traffic control and police. Motorists are reminded to slow down, drive with caution, and give space to cyclists and support vehicles on route.

We applaud the efforts of all riders and encourage residents to cheer them on as they pass through our region!
