Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) – Notice of Hearing

The Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC), the independent utilities regulator, will be holding a
hearing to review the applications and submissions received to consider the proposed solar
power plant and electric transmission development applications in Proceeding 27589.

If you feel you may be affected by the connecting transmission facilities, you can provide
your input through a written submission by December 6, 2022.


Interveners’ information requests to the applicants are due on December 19, 2022.

The Commission will host a virtual oral hearing, commencing on March 20, 2023, at 9 a.m.
The virtual oral hearing will be held remotely using a video conferencing platform.

New Carseland Speed Limit

To allow for a consistent speed limit throughout Carseland, Wheatland County Council passed an amendment to the Traffic Bylaw changing the speed limit throughout Carseland to 40km/hr, excluding school and playground zones which will remain at 30 km/hr. Speed limit signs are in the process of being updated.
