National Legion Week – September 17-23, 2023

Council has declared September 17-23 as National Legion Week, a time to recognize and pay tribute to our cherished veterans, who have selflessly dedicated themselves to both our nation and our county. This occasion is dedicated to educating citizens about the amazing deeds performed by their local branch within their community. Furthermore, it also underscores the invaluable role these branches play in the collective mission to honour and support our revered veterans, all while contributing to the prosperity of numerous communities.

National Legion Week serves as a conduit, ushering new visitors to our branches, attracting fresh, eager members, and enlisting the assistance of volunteers. This year, we also extend our heartfelt salute to the remarkable RCMP Veterans, who celebrated the momentous 150th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police on May 23, 2023.
