HWY 817 Construction Notice

Wheatland County has received notice that Alberta Transportation has scheduled for the reconstruction of the Hwy 24 and Hwy 817 intersection, including reconstruction of the Hwy 817 corridor from Hwy 24 to Hwy 901. Hwy 817 will be closed from south of Hwy 24 to Hwy 901 from June 13, 2022, to the estimated completion date of November 15, 2022.

Local traffic will be accommodated through the work zone. All other motorists are asked to use the suggested detour route.

Please avoid foot traffic within the project limits.

We ask for local residents’ patience and understanding as there may be traffic delays and increased levels of noise and dust during construction.
