Wheatland County has received notice that Alberta Transportation has scheduled for the reconstruction of the HWY 24 and HWY 817 intersection, including reconstruction of the HWY 817 corridor from HWY 24 to HWY 901, to occur from June 15th, 2022, through November 15th, 2022. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
The contractor is continuing with subgrade preparation and culvert installations between HWY 564 and TWP 254A. Stripping work and centerline culvert installations have progressed south of TWP 254A. Gravel has been placed on the northernmost kilometer of RR 205, south of HWY 564.

UPDATE (May 11, 2022): Debris has been removed from the alley and is now open. Attention Gleichen Residents: Please be advised that the north alley on Main Street is currently blocked due to a building roof blowing off. The alley will be barricaded off until the debris is cleaned up. Thank you for your patience!
