Wildland Urban Interface Firefighter Training

On August 5 and 6, 2020, Wheatland County hosted a Wildland Urban Interface Firefighter Training Program, joined by Strathmore Fire Department and Siksika Nation Fire Department (Siksika Nation Administration). This training prepares our firefighters for grassland fires within Wheatland, and keeps our firefighters up to standard in the event they are requested to assist in a major Provincial forest fire. Wheatland County firefighters are continually training to ensure they are protecting the lives and property of our citizens.
