Wheatland County operations are divided into departments. Each department is led by a General Manager, with a full staff (including managers and supervisors of specific areas) reporting to the GM. The departments include:
Planning, Economic Development, and Community Services
This department involves all Planning and Development; Safety Codes; Economic Development; and Community Services.
Protective, Emergency, and Fire Services
This department involves all emergency services including Protective Services (Community Peace Officers); Emergency Management; and Fire Services.
Transportation and Agriculture
This department involves all Public Works; Waste and Recycling; Roads; Agricultural Services; and Infrastructure.
Corporate and Financial Services
This department involves Assessment and Taxes; Utility billing; Grants; Records Management; Human Resources and Payroll; and Financial Management and Reporting.
