Water Quality Notification – Report Any Concerns

We want to remind residents to report any concerns about water discoloration or unusual odors. Our water operators continuously monitor and maintain water quality, but natural changes, such as seasonal shifts, can sometimes impact the appearance and smell of the water.

A common cause of discoloration is elevated manganese levels, which can occur during colder weather when water near the bottom of reservoirs becomes de-oxygenized. This may cause a grey tinge in the water, but rest assured, the water remains safe to drink. Any noticeable smell is often due to chlorine, which is used to maintain water safety.

If you experience significant discoloration or an unusual odor, please reach out!

Contact Rocky View Utility Corp (RVUC) at 403-999-9127 for support.

Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and reliable water supply for our community! Your feedback is invaluable.
