UPDATE: RR 253B Closure

October 17, 2025 UPDATE: RR 253B will be closed to public access as of 6pm on Saturday October 18, 2025, for construction.  We anticipate the road to re-open near the end of October.

September 12, 2025 UPDATE: RR 253B will be open to the public commencing the afternoon of September 12, 2025. Please continue to monitor this post for any further closure notifications.

August 26, 2025 UPDATE: RR 253B will be open to the public for the upcoming long weekend.  Access to the river will be permitted from August 29 – September 1, 2025, with it being closed again for construction Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

Wheatland County will be closing Range Road 253B to vehicle traffic from July 2–31, 2025, for the installation of the Goldfinch Raw Water Supply Pipeline. Foot traffic to the Bow River will remain accessible, and emergency access will be maintained.
