As part of the approved Capital 5 Year Road Construction Program, Wheatland County is wrapping up Phase 1 of TWP 250 this spring, which included the reconstruction of the roadway between RR 264 and RR 263 and replacing the bridge between RR 255 and RR 261.

Following the completion of Phase 1, we expect to start construction of Phase 2 in 2026, which includes paving 4 miles of TWP 250 west from HWY 817 to just beyond RR 255.  Phase 3 will be paving the remainder of TWP 250 to RR 264.

Upgrading and paving the road will allow for higher traffic volumes, providing alternative paved access to/from Strathmore and area.

  • Phase 2 Construction: Complete Fall 2026
  • Phase 3 Construction: Complete Fall 2027
