As part of the approved Capital 5 Year Road Construction Program, Wheatland County will be reconstructing 1.44 miles of RR 254 north of HWY 901, and 0.98 miles of TWP 230, east towards HWY 817.

Upgrading the road is required due to high seasonal traffic volumes and substandard conditions of the existing roadway.
