Rosebud Lift Station and Lagoon Update September 2, 2021
Rosebud Lift Station
Parcon finished installing the electrical work inside the building, installed the fencing around the lift station, completed the gravel access road, and completed the test commissioning for the lift station, which was the final step in construction for the lift station project. Construction for the lift station is now complete and was done ahead of schedule.
Once the Rosebud Lagoon project is complete, the two projects will be connected and will be fully commissioned.
Wheatland County would like to thank Parcon Construction Ltd. for their hard work in completing this project ahead of schedule.
Rosebud Lagoon Update
Last week Knibb Developments Ltd. continued working on the earthworks for the Storage Cell and installed two air valves and two gate valves that are located on the forcemain. This week Knibb’s installed eight groundwater monitors that are located around the perimeter of the lagoon. The crew also installed the piping and valves that are required for the level control vaults in the Anaerobic, Facultative and Storage Cell.
For the next couple of weeks, Knibb’s will backfill the control vaults and piping. Once the backfilling is completed, they will start to install the rip rap armoring that is located at the top of the berms of the lagoon cells. Knibb’s will also continue installing the air valves and gate valves that are located on the forcemain.
