Notification of Leak Detection Survey

Attention: Landowners within Rockyview Gas Co-op Ltd. Franchise Area

Rockyview Gas Co-op Ltd. will be completing a leak detection survey starting on May 31, 2021 and will continue to June 14, 2021. As part of this survey, we will be gathering leak detection data from the low-pressure lines contained within our franchise area.

Our contractor, Current Surveillance Inc., will be flying a RPAS (remotely piloted aircraft system) to complete the survey. The equipment used will be a Matrice 600 Drone (RPAV) with a methane detector. It will be operating in a random pattern, at an elevation up to 100 meters above ground level. This mission and flight area will be approved by Transport Canada through a Special Flight Operations Certificate and a filed Flight Plan approval.
