Strangmuir Street Construction
Are you ready Strangmuir Street? It's start time!
If you live on Strangmuir Street in Carseland, you are aware that work on the street is set to be done this summer, and you will be receiving notices from the contractor in the next couple of days regarding water supply and construction plans:
The waterline in the area is to be replaced and all homes on the street will use an above ground temporary water supply. An employee will be in contact with residents once the temporary line is finished and will need access to the water meter valves in all homes. In addition to the temporary water, workers will need access to the front yards along the street.
**Please ensure that all items within 2 meters of your property line have been removed to allow access to the curb stop during construction.
Workers will begin laying out the temporary water system tentatively July 19 and homes will be using the system by July 23 at the latest.
Note: This water source is from the same source as your original water, and can be used for any household purposes. Everything will work the same--the only difference will be how it reaches the homes.
Construction work is scheduled to begin this week (July 17) and should be completed by August 31, 2018, weather permitting.
All vehicles on Strangmuir street will need to be removed by July 20. Strangmuir street will be closed for traffic July 20 until construction is completed. The back alley will still be accessible for all residents have parking spots in the back. Otherwise, vehicles may be parked anywhere parking is permitted.
Hours of work will be Monday through Sunday 7 a.m. – 9 p.m.
