Animal Control
Animal Control
The Animal Control Bylaw governs issues such as number of animals permitted on a property, dog licensing, and vicious dog definitions. The Animal Control Bylaw can be seen here.
For issues pertaining to animal control, please contact Wheatland County Protective Services Department at 403-361-2026 during regular business hours, or your local Police of jurisdiction beyond regular business hours.
Lost and Found
All dogs found (either by fellow Wheatland County residents and reported to us, or by our Peace Officers) will be posted on our Facebook page and Twitter feed, or you may contact the Protective Services Department at (403) 361-2026 for more information regarding lost or found dogs. If you have lost a dog, you can also post that to our Facebook page, with a photo if possible. Please include your contact information.
*Additional inquiries may be made at your local Vet Clinics, Municipal Offices, and/or the Calgary Humane Society.
