Pesticide Chemical Container Program

Please help us to maintain our chemical container drop-off sites by ensuring that containers are triple rinsed and are no larger than 23litres. Large containers can be returned to the retailer.

Pesticide Chemical Container Sites are located at:

For more information about what products the chemical container sites will accept contact Russel Muenchrath.

Grain Bag Rolling Program

In response to a need for better options for the disposal of plastic grain bags, Agricultural Services created a grain bag rolling and recycling program. Through the program, an agricultural services staff member is available to attend farms and assist producers in the cleaning and rolling of grain bags, before hauling them to a local business for recycling.

Twine Bags

Wheatland County is offering clear recycling bags free of charge to livestock producers for the collection of plastic baler twine in order to reduce the amount of prohibited debris being burned. These bags will fit into a 45 gallon barrel and when full can be dropped off at all Wheatland County waste transfer sites. Bale net wrap is currently not accepted but Wheatland County will continue to pursue additional agricultural recycling opportunities.
