HWY 817 Construction Update: August 3, 2022

Attention Motorists:

The Contractor will begin cold milling operations on Highway 24 spanning from the Bow River to North of the Speargrass Entrance on August 3, 2022. The speed reduction of 50 km/h currently in place for the truck entrance near the Bow River will be extended north of the substandard curve on Highway 24 as the asphalt wearing surfacing is removed.

Work on Hwy 24 is anticipated to span 4-5 days. The Contractor will implement one-lane alternating traffic while completing the work.

The Contractor will mobilize a crew near the end of August/early September to begin placement of Granular Base Course. The work will require a modification of the traffic configuration, which we will review and communicate to you.
