Gleichen Inlet Pipe Upgrade

Wheatland County is happy to inform you that the construction phase of the Gleichen Inlet Pipe Upgrade has been successfully completed, and we have now entered the final phase of the project: seeding the soil.

Wheatland County is upgrading an inlet pipe in order to improve the grading along South Town Road, east of 9 Ave in Gleichen. The construction work is scheduled to commence on May 9th, subject to weather conditions, and expected to conclude by May 12th.
Crews will work diligently to ensure that the upgrade is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Upgrade will include:
- Re‐grading along north‐side of South Town Road, east of 9 Ave.
- Removal and replacement of storm pipe
- Removal of existing storm catch basin
Traffic Impacts:
Work will not affect vehicle traffic. Residential parking and access to properties, including the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will remain available. Emergency access will remain available throughout the duration of the project.
