Flaring Notification

North 40 Resources Ltd (N40) is planning to temporarily flare natural gas as part of its routine completion and production operations. This Flaring operation will be in accordance with good oilfield practices as well as Alberta Energy Regulator regulations. Specific information relative to this project is detailed below:

Well Surface Flare Location: 16-20-027-17W4 (100/13C-28-026-17W4 Well and 102/13D-28-026-17W4 Well)
Reason for Flaring: Two New well completions, well clean up period
Expected Start Date: July 20, 2021 Expected End Date: August 30, 2021 (may be extended)
Expected Flare Volume: will remain within Directive 60 flare guidelines (estimate up to 15e3m3/day per well)
Type of Well: Oil
H2S Present: Not in flare H2S Concentration: 0.0 ppm

To adhere to Directive 60 regulations, all residents in the surrounding 1.5 km need to be notified of flaring operations. If any H2S is present the radius is expanded. The time period above is based off current weather conditions and timing. Once the planned maintenance is complete flaring will subside.
