Farmers’ Advocate Office – Renewable Energy Presentation

During a virtual CRMA meeting on February 3, Darcy Allen, energy, utilities and policy specialist with the Farmers’ Advocate Office, gave a presentation on Renewable Energy Project Approvals.⁣ ⁣⁣

The high-level overview provided landowners insight into why renewable energy operators are approaching landowners for leasing opportunities, highlighted general renewable energy regulatory requirements, and presented some property rights considerations that landowners may want to incorporate into their discussions with developers.⁣ ⁣⁣
