Living, farming, and raising our three children in Wheatland County is a privilege that has allowed me to learn a lot about country living and the importance of community. My husband, Brian, and I moved to his family’s farm in 2007 after his parents retired to Strathmore. The Laprise family has lived in the Cluny area for more than 100 years, and I am excited to continue their legacy of community involvement.
Before I met Brian, I worked in Calgary as a Management Consultant and a Business Analyst for KPMG Consulting and Fortis Alberta. With this experience, I have learned to look for ways to improve processes and find cost savings. I am a detailed planner, a team player, an excellent communicator, and open and responsive to issue resolution. In addition, I am an excellent researcher and I strive towards continuous learning and development.
As an active volunteer, I am dedicated to supporting my community and my children’s activities, including Wheatland Community Enhancement and the Cluny Lions Club. I am the President of my daughter’s skating club, CAHL hockey Governor, and a school council Secretary.
I am hardworking, accountable, and I promise to research the issues and consult with stakeholders, wherever possible. I am approachable, responsive, and I welcome an inclusive and open relationship with the County’s citizens and neighbours.
Division 1 is located in the southern portion of Wheatland County and includes the Hamlet of Cluny and the Hamlet of Gleichen, along with the surrounding agricultural lands and rural residences.
The division reflects strong agricultural roots and a deep connection to rural stewardship, supported by infrastructure and services that help residents, landowners, and local operations thrive.
