Donna Biggar

Division 3 Councillor

I grew up in the Carseland area. It was a great place to grow up and that’s why I chose to raise my own children here as well. My passion for the area and its people are a part of me.

Throughout the years, I’ve been involved in a variety of community events, clubs, and fundraisers. I’ve had the honour to serve on the Hall Building Fund, Carseland History Committee, PB Club, and Carseland Curling Club. One of my greatest pleasures was to teach Junior Curling for 15 years.

Having worked for many years in Alberta Agriculture, I was inspired to pursue horticulture. For the past 14 years, I have been managing Aspen Crossing Ltd., a successful rural tourism destination in Mossleigh, AB.

During that time, Aspen Crossing has grown from 3 employees to a total of 55 in the fall of 2017. Managing the extensive growth of such a diverse tourism entity has helped me to develop strong skills in relationship, leadership, and business knowledge.

I look forward to taking my skills to assist in assuring the safety, interest, and welfare of Wheatland County’s residents.

Regards,
Donna Biggar
Division 3 Councillor
