Community Enhancement Regional Board Membership Applications

Wheatland County is encouraging interested residents to apply to serve on the Community Enhancement Regional Board (CERB), an important volunteer advisory body that helps strengthen local communities by supporting projects, partnerships, and initiatives that improve quality of life across the region. Since inception in 2012, CERB has reviewed and recommended to Wheatland County Council projects totaling more than 6.3 million dollars. 

Serving on the Community Enhancement Regional Board is an opportunity for residents to play a direct role in shaping community development. Board members help review priorities, provide local insight, and make funding recommendations that can have a lasting and positive impact on families, community organizations, and public spaces. 

The work of the Board helps deliver meaningful benefits to the community. Through its guidance, the Board supports initiatives that can: 

• enhance recreation, culture, and community programming 

• encourage local partnerships and collaboration 

• support organizations that serve residents of all ages 

• strengthen community spaces and shared amenities 

• promote long-term community well-being and regional vitality 

Residents who serve on the Board bring valuable local knowledge, diverse perspectives, and a strong understanding of community needs. Their participation helps ensure that decisions reflect local priorities and that community enhancement efforts remain responsive, transparent, and effective.
