Completed permit applications may be submitted at any time by emailing them to safetycodes@wheatlandcounty.ca.
Once your application is received, applicable fees will be calculated and payment instructions will be provided for online processing.
Building Permits and Private Sewage Disposal System (PSDS) Permits are issued by The Inspections Group Inc. within 1 to 3 weeks.
Safety Codes Permits (Electrical, Gas, and Plumbing) are typically issued within 1 to 3 business days.
As of January 1, 2024, Wheatland County has appointed The Inspections Group Inc. as the designated Safety Codes Inspection Agency.
Residents, businesses, and contractors requiring inspections are asked to contact The Inspections Group Inc. directly to arrange services. Inspections can be scheduled by emailing south@inspectionsgroup.com or by calling 1-888-852-3558.

The Home Buyer Protection Act requires builders to provide appropriate warranty coverage. A building permit cannot be issued unless the coverage requirements, or in certain circumstances, an authorization for exemption, are in place.
